The management console is where you work. Nothing to install, nothing to set up: sign in and get going. The devices fetch whatever you have put there.
Overview
Every device with its condition, project, version and last report. Whatever is wrong, you see first.
Readings
Charge level, mains power and temperature are in the device list – and as a history of the last 90 days on the device page.
Projects
The bracket around an exhibition: devices, application, Wi-Fi credentials, settings and the provisioning code.
Provisioning
Generate the QR code, print it, scan it. It carries Wi-Fi, server address, project and PIN – and sets the device up with them.
Applications
Upload an APK, enter a website or a video, assign it to the project. The management console reads the version and version number from the file.
Users and roles
You decide who may do what. Sign-in with e-mail and password or with your organisation’s Microsoft account.
Licences
A look at how many devices are registered and how many of them are licensed.
Inherit settings instead of repeating them
Almost everything that concerns a device is set once on the project: the PIN, the countdown, which keys are locked, which Wi-Fi networks apply. If a single device needs something else, you set it there – and it differs there and only there.
Whatever you do not explicitly manage, the kiosk app leaves alone. So a device you take over loses no setting that you have not touched.
Separate where it belongs apart
The management console is multi-tenant. Each institution sees only its own projects, devices, applications and users. Permissions apply per tenant: someone who may do everything at your place may still do nothing elsewhere.
If you look after several institutions, you switch between them within the same sign-in – no second account and no second password.
